Kim McDevitt
Pre-school Assistant
I have 3 children, 2 of which came to this pre-school after I moved into Wateringbury village 11 years ago. I have been working here for 3 years and am currently completing my level 2 qualification through an apprenticeship scheme. I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends and currently having cooking lessons from my fiance.

Catherine Kemp
Pre-school Assistant
I originally trained as a primary school teacher, teaching Year 1 and 2 for nine years in both the private and state sector. I took a career break to dedicate time to being a mum when I had the first of my two daughters. When my youngest started school I returned to the classroom, teaching at a Montessori nursery for three years. I have lived in Wateringbury for three years and am entering my second year as part of this amazing pre-school team. I spend the majority of my spare time driving my dance and theatre loving children to rehearsals and classes, although we do also love going to see as many musicals as possible.

Sara Wallis
Pre-school Assistant
I have been working at the pre-school since 2008. I have my NVQ level 3 in Childcare Learning and Development which has helped me understand more about the policies and procedures at the preschool alongside child development and welfare. I have had training in first aid and child protection and I hold the position as preschool risk assessment officer. I have lived in Teston since 2016 and have 3 daughters.

Louise Smith
Pre-school Assistant
I initially trained as a primary school teacher and I spent nearly a decade teaching KS1 and lower KS2. I then took a break from teaching to be a stay at home mum and spend as much time as possible with my 2 daughters. They both attended Teston & Wateringbury Pre-school and loved their time here. Now they are settled into their primary school journeys I am able to return to working with children and families and am delighted to be part of this pre-school. I love simple days out with my family and if I do get any free time I enjoy reading, crafting and the occasional escape room with friends!

Anna Lomas
Pre-school Assistant/SENCO
I have lived in Wateringbury for 16 years with my family. and have recently married my long term partner. I have been working at the preschool for the past 10 years and have worked with children for the duration of my career, having attained an NNEB diploma in 1996. I was a nanny for 10 years before having my first child in 2004. I have had training in first aid, child protection and Autistic Spectrum Disorder. I rarely have much free time as I am a carer for my eldest son who has autism. I am passionate about my career and dedicated to looking after children.

Tina Driver
Pre-school Manager
I have lived in Teston since 1997. I started working here in September 2009 and took over the role of pre-school Manager in July 2013
I have 2 boys who came to this pre-school, one of which is currently at Christchurch University and my other has recently qualified as a plasterer. In August 2011 I completed my NVQ level 3 and have also recently completed my level 3 SEND qualification.
I am very passionate about Early Years education as this is the foundation to which everything is built on.
Together with my great team 'we inspire young minds to grow and shine'
In my spare time I enjoy paddleboarding and gardening - this year I am determined to eat my vegetables before the rabbits do!
Jo Jordan
Deputy Manager and Admissions Secretary
I have worked with children for over 30 years partaking in roles such as a nanny, teaching assistant within the private and public sectors and as a mother. I worked as a preschool assistant at Teston and Wateringbury for 11 years between 2001 and 2012. From 2007 I worked at both Brunswick House Primary School as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant within the Foundation Stage and at the preschool until 2016. Having experience across the whole of Early Years has given me a greater understanding of the needs and requirements of this important age group and the Early Learning goals.
Alongside my role as supervisor at the preschool I am also a massage therapist working from home in Wateringbury. When I am not working I enjoy cycling and spending time with my two now very grown up daughters who both attended the preschool and local primary school.
